this past summer an ATT sales person came to my door and said it'd be available in my area in October of this year. 2 months past still no fiber in my area the max in my area is 75MBps. Every month I check the coverage map and when i pay my bill. I wonder if they meant October of 2020.. Kane

You have FTTN which is Fiber to a local box in your neighborhood (VRAD). From there it is all copper with a max speed of 100 Mbps if close to the VRAD (serving terminal). The nearest known ATT Fiber customer is around 477 feet from my house.My house is just past a 100+ house neighborhood. About 350 ft. The entire neighborhood has fiber and the line continues past my house for about mile before stopping. The closest house officially on my road and not in the neighborhood that has fiber is just on the other side of the entrance from me at 500 ft distance.Sprinklr All you can do is asked to be emailed when fiber is available at that address. It will be replaced with an ONT (optical network terminal) which converts fiber (light) signals to something (electrical) that flows to copper wires. Ethernet cable (data cable, RJ45) is used from the ONT to your AT&T modem. If @ATT wouldn’t have terrible service representatives on the phone that’s be GREAT.
